Lights Out!
Prototype for Trijam#269 - Topic "Lights Out!"
Programming ~12 hours.
Story:
One of the Powerplants has failed, and now the Cops need to put the "lights out!" to save electricity
Controls:
Left Mouse Button to drive the Ambulance-Car
Right Mouse Button to drive the Police-Car
Gameplay:
1. Use the Police-car and drive to the houses to put their "lights out!" to
save the electricity, to keep the hospital running.
2. Use the Ambulance-car to pickup the emergency-patients, and deliver them to the running hospital. Hospital will only take patients when it has power.
Dont let the civilians take to much electricity.
Don`t waste time before picking up the emergency-patients or you lose hearts/lifes.
If you run out of Gasoline -> Restart
If you run out of Hearts -> Game Over -> Restart
What I`ve learned:
First time with Tilemap and Navigation Layer + Navigation Agent for the cars.
Usage of Area2ds, Signals, PointLight2d, Sprite Regions. Created a few sounds and worked a lot with Aseprite. I tried to cooperate with two other users but it didn`t worked out so well.
The most difficult part was the gameplay. But it is still not good enough. I need a better Idea next time xD - Programming and creating was fun though ;)
